Who can see my content on Fika?
Fika gives you full control over who can read each piece of content. Every post you publish can be set to one of three visibility levels:
Public: visible to anyone, no account or subscription required.
Subscribers only: visible to anyone who follows your publication, even on the free plan.
Paid tiers: reserved for readers on a specific paid tier. You can define one or more paid tiers, each potentially gating different content.
You set the visibility level when publishing each post, from the Publish page.
Is Fika free?
Fika is free to write and publish on. We charge a small platform fee on each payment, which is deducted automatically. The fee percentage depends on how many paid subscribers your publication has:
1–99 paying subscribers – 10%
99–499 – 8%
500+ – 7%
On top of this, standard Stripe processing fees apply (these are set by Stripe, not by Fika).
Are subscriptions monthly?
You can set up your publication to offer readers monthly or annual subscriptions. An annual subscription can not be more than 12x the amount of a monthly subscription.
Does Fika send invoices?
You will receive a monthly invoice from Fika summarizing the platform fees collected during that period.
